iBuyz Visits St. Louis

Last week, iBuyz hit the road for a business trip to St. Louis. With any worthwhile trip, you can usually expect obstacles somewhere along the way. After about 2 hours of driving, we discovered ours when Tommy heard a strange scraping noise coming from the empty trailer we were pulling with Dan's F-150. Dan put the breaks on and pulled over to the shoulder. We discovered the trailer had a blowout! We took the rim off and left the trailer on the side of the road as we began searching for a place that could help us out. Fortunately, we found a nearby Walmart that had the tire size we needed and they mounted it on the rim for us. Within an hour, we were back on the road!

We were planning on catching a Cardinals game, but we didn't make it there in time because of the delay. Instead, we celebrated our arrival by getting a delicious dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory and then going to look at the St. Louis Arch at night. All of us agree that it looks much larger and more amazing up close in person.

The next day was mostly business, but for lunch we tried St. Louis style pizza from a place recommended to us called Imo's. We were surprised by how much the pizza actually differed from more traditional pizza, but it was very tasty! The cheese was creamier than usual and there wasn't quite as much sauce. The St. Louis style crust was also very thin and contained no yeast.

We began our drive back home the first thing the next morning. This time our trailer was loaded with new inventory, but it held up perfectly. Good thing the tire blew out on the way there and not the way back! We were happy to be able to get away for a few days, take care of business, and still fit in some time to explore the city.
